    Breast implants- considering them

I'm considering a boob job as my breast are deflated after losing 77lbs. I have 20lbs to go before doing so. Never heard of gummy bear implants. What's the difference?

    Anesthesia...

Nothing! I was given an IV before being wheeled to surgery. I was out after that until I woke up in recovery. Didn't feel bad at all.

    Dumping Syndrome

Dumping is the worst! I also get it when I eat too quickly or eat something that has too much sugar or oil. Now I try to eat slowly and taste foods and wait to see how it goes down. After several months, I don't like eating out because of this.
  8. At that stage the only side affect of surgery was fatigue. I didn't feel like I had surgery otherwise. After a month or so reality kicked in and I had difficulty transitioning to puréed and solids. Be grateful your first few weeks aren't so bad and follow your plan. I'm 6 months out now and my life has been radically changed for the better and I'm almost down 80lbs.
  9. I gained 4 pounds during my 6 month pre-surgery process. It's a real struggle. In the end, I lost a total of 5lbs and was approved for surgery. I'm 6 months post-op and am doing great (-76 lbs). My relationship with food has completely changed.
  10. I did a 3 month program as well. Even though the total time was 4 months it flew by so fast. During the time you'll be so busy learning how to live your new life.

Do You Eat Breakfast? What Do You Have?

I always have Greek yogurt with berries or a protein shake for breakfast. I like to begin with protein to help me meet my daily intake goal.
  12. I was tempted by everything edible at that point after surgery. Can't imagine doing that during the holiday with all the food tempting me. You're lucky you didn't have any physical issues - I had/have when I'm off program. But just wake up tomorrow and start again. Everyday we learn how to live differently. It's a process. Stalls happen so don't fret.

    Feet Shrinking?

My feet shrank a half shoe size. I'm 6 months post-op.
  15. This is the hardest thing I've ever done. Nothing easy about this. People don't realize that so don't let his thoughts and lack of information dissuade you. I kept my process to myself and a couple others.

Am I going to be starving?

I'm 6 months out and am rarely hungry. I still have to remind myself to eat.
  17. After a few months the chewable vitamins are making me nauseous. Please tell me what you're taking as I need to change.
  18. I wish I understood the depth of life change this has been. Probably would have still done it, but it's taking a while to realize food will never have the same meaning again.

    time it takes to eat

A very long time. Not less than 20 minutes, 40 is better. I don't dine out much anymore because it's not as much fun.

    Fried Foods

I can't tolerate fried foods anymore. Maybe others can. Just taste and wait to see how it goes down.
  21. I didn't realize how much food controlled my life. Meal times were the most important time of day. Not so much anymore and I'm happy about that.

    Feel sick all the time

You are not alone. I went through a tough time 4-6 weeks after rny like yours. It turned out to be nothing but I did have to return to liquid diet for a while. Check with your doc to be sure all is well. If so, you'll be fine in no time.
