Am I hungry?

Hi all. I am 5 weeks post-op. I've lost about 45 pounds. I was given clearance to eat soft proteins and veggies. My problem is the nut told me to eat 3 times a day with a small amount of the soft protein and still continue to drink the protein shakes as well as water. I tried to eat three times a day, but would feel nauseous in between portions. I am also struggling to get the protein shakes down, but I just can't take another one. I tried eating little bites 4-5 times throughout the day and that helped the nausea, but I gained 2 pounds. Anyone else feeling this frustration?

What kind of shakes are you using?! I eat 3-4 times a day and usually either have a protein shake or a small snack like a cheese stick or less than a handful of nuts (I'm almost 4 months out please be careful if nuts is not in your plan). I don't get nauseous, but I am sugar sensitive and it makes feel lethargic if I eat too much sugar or too much! Oh and I drink premiere shakes. I love the chocolate one mixed with my coffee. The strawberry ones are great as long as they are cold. I pop them in the freezer for 20 minutes before I drink them. I like them just at the point of icy!
