Guys the band is a tool you can't expect to eat all the junk we would normally eat and lose all the weight. Along with the band you need to have a life style change by eating healthy and exercising if you don't work out you won't lose weight and trust the process so far I have lost 28 lbs 10 with the pre op diet and 18 since I got banded on August 14 we already took the step of getting the band lets just do it!!! Get focused and you will see the weight start coming off! Good luck

Right there with Ya!!

That's is awesome! I am on day 5 of pre diet and went to a baby shower at an Italian restaurant with meatballs, pizza, calamari and every dessert imaginable. I asked the for broccoli dry with garlic and lemon . Had that and my protein shake. If I can do that, I am on my way! Today going to a Labor Day party. Brough my shakes.

Revision..I'm on day 5 , not a 5 day, lol...wish!

Does anyone get down at special functions I get moody when I go to events with food. I know I am an emotional eater and I thing ng this is why I feel that way. I am just hoping it gets better.

I am feeling great. Still only down 19 lbs so far. That is frustrating but I am more determined. I really believe I need to get my stress under control. I have started to journal my food intake again. Which is something that I thought I wouldn't need to do. We will see what happens at my next weigh in. How about you? People are noticing…I wish I had measured myself at the beginning because I know I have lost more inches.

BTW I used to live in San Antonio. My daughter still does.

That's cool. I haven't weighed in a while but I was down 22 pounds. I journal my food and it does help. I had my measurements done I'm curious to see how many inches I've lost.

Had lap and done August 25. Lost 20 lbs quickly prep week before surgery and after surgery once the swelling went down but for a week nothing and I have a appetite again I am hungry but not like before but I can eat 1-2 cups of food now I called Drs office they said to eat 3 protein meals a day and two shake a day. Finally going to bathroom almost everyday after not going for 8 days . I am getting a first fill in 2.5 weeks but lot soon enough tree terrified cause I am not losing weight for a 9 days now but I am shrinking physically Help!! Any advice

What you are going through is normal. I experienced the exact same thing. I had my first fill and then started to lose weight agin. It's a process and you just have to try and control what your eating as much as possible. I go in on the 15th of this month to see if I need another fill. I think I do but its not as bad as it was the first time. I hope all goes well just stay positive it gets better.

Hi everyone! I am a month post op! I lost 11 pounds in my first week and have been slowly losing a few pounds in the following weeks. I am finding that the sweets I used to love are wayyyy too sweet! Just getting back into the gym and my clothes are either too big or fitting a lot better. So happy I chose the lap band and wish everyone success! If anyone ever wants to touch base feel free to find me on Facebook. I would love to talk to others about their journeys.

Update so I got banded on August 14 my pre liquid diet weight was 291 after the liquid diet I was at 286 at time of surgery.got my first fill on Friday and just got of the scale and I'm at 260.4 so excited thats 31lbs down ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????this is a journey and it ain't easy but definitely obtainable
