@@sgibbs That's great. Well also had my surgery done. WednesdayThis is not to scare anyone. Dr. Goldstein who was my surgeron make five holes in me to work my stomach. The largest one was the length of a quarter. Ingrid, this will give you idea what to look for because I noticed that when you look at other pictures they seem larger when they are really not. I didn't have much gas. It was my stomach itself that was more pain. I was given pain meds when I was in recovery but it was extreme. I even shock Mike who was with me when I ask them to give something stronger. I usually suck it when I am in pain but the pain unbearable. Therefore I given 2mgs of Dilaudid every two hours. After surgery listen to your body know when you need meds and when you are doing to muchMy surgeon's office called me, they had perfect timing. I was having a hard time swallowing. I was fine yesterday but today I went to eat 4 ozs of chicken broth and 3ozs of Jello. The jello went down fine but broth was bothering the hell of out of me. I was popping Tums for reflex. Only helped for a little bit. They called me just in time. Here I had a high hiatus hernia. He fix the problem but it's going to be harder to swallow and eat anything, so for now I have to stay on a liquid diet until Sept 4 when I see him. He said he did a little extra work on me. I am only allow to take in 2-3 ozs at a time. He is talking about me doing Clear Liquids for two weeks before going into full liquidsOk I had to talk about the gas. I was hoping I was lucky and didn't have to worry about gas. Hell no wasn't that lucky. It finally showed its wrath. OMG....the pain. I did the gas-x, walking, prayering, and the rubbing of my stomach....nothing worked. So finally I made my self some orange spice tea and headed to bed. Now anyone who knows Mike, knows he is an asshole when he farts, just damn right rude and nasty. While payback is a bitch and it was being served last night bedside service. The gas finally passed but I made sure my butt was out of blankets. Let it rip and hide under blanket until I heard Mike yelling APRIL..... roflmbbao

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
