I'll be away from home for 2-3 weeks for sleeve surgery, what should I take?

Okay full confession upfront, I can be a little anal about details that probably don't matter... that being said...

I'm going to be staying at my parents house not a hotel or anything but I'm having a hard time deciding just what I should have with me... like what is a realistic expectation for clothing needs. I've seen where people suggest something real loose to come home from the hospital but how long do I need real loose? How quickly am I likely to drop a size and wish I'd brought something smaller? LOL maybe I should just look at it as my last opportunity to wear all my cute bigger sized clothing? Any suggestions? Tell me what you would have needed if you'd been at your mom's your first few weeks?

I'm not as worried about my food choices, mom can run to the store and I have ordered a selection of different Protein shake samples and a couple of Vitamin samples that I can start with. I'll be on Clear liquids and then full liquids probably the whole time I'm there.

Thanks!!

For clothing, I recommend something with an elastic waist, that's at least one size too big to allow for bloating.

Bring what you would take along for vacation. Unfortunately they're always will be something you forgot, despite all of the meticulous planning.

Good luck with your surgery!

Thanks for you answer AngelaWilliamsMD, I think that is really what I need to know... How long should I expect to be swollen? How quickly should I expect to see some weight loss and on average how much in the first few weeks?
