I am passing gas and burping. I can feel stomach - intestines rumbling but no pain comes from this. I think its all that air they blew us up with and GI tract adapting to the change. But its okay so far. I don't use anything for it. Now that i have had Protein drinks for 2 days am wondering when I will have a BM. I take very small sips but yes i do feel gruggling in my intestine with the shakes. How is your mobility and are you able to drink 60 ounces of liquids per day?

I am pretty close to the 64 oz and just now starting to get the strenght to walk as far as your question on Bm Omg I just had to go thru extreme Constipation to the point of using an enima I had not gone for like 6 days you will need to get some prune juice and mox half and half or if u can do puree ..Puree an apple with the skin one and have one daily I bought so phillips milk of mag just in case ..

I am just beginning my journey. I went to the seminar and have my consult in a week. My biggest fear is not making it through the liquid diet pre-surg. I keep telling myself "keep your eye on the prize". Good luck to you!

Any one struggling with pre ob diet...get you some unflavored Protein and mix with anything it has 30gm per scoop. I love it in yogurt. It didn't resolve well in Soup or Jello. It keeps you full I have no will power but have done wonderful on pre diet. No hunger

LynnAlex - How did your surgery go? I am on day 2 of my pre-surgery diet and it sounds identical to what your doctor said to do, and I am also thinking about changing it some to add in some chicken and soft veggies, or cottage cheese or other soft cheeses. At least for the first week. So, I am curious about if you did change your diet, and if so - how? And when did you go back to all liquids?

My surgery date is 8/4. I am drinking 3-4 Premier Protein drinks AND either having chicken broth w/2 oz of chicken at night when I am sick of the Protein Drink OR having 3 oz of steak for dinner. My doctor wants me on all Protein Shakes, broth, sf Jello and popsicles. So many people get to eat a small meal with carbs, I don't get it. SO.... I am changing mine to include a low fat meat one time per day. I am a low BMI. I also exercise about 2 hours a day. I love swimming, biking, hiking. I may get scared on the last 3 days and follow doctor's plan.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
