Lapband after Colostomy Reversal and alot of scar tissue/herniation?

Hi I am new to Bariatric Pal. I was sleeved on 2/25/15 and doing great. My husband is thinking about weight loss surgery. Ten years ago he had a major health crisis and need a colostomy. After he recovered it was reversed 4 months later. Both surgeries left him with a lot of scar tissue, a malformed navel and a great deal of herniation. Has anyone had the lap band with these issues. Was it done laparoscopically ?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
