The search function on my phone isn't working very well and when I type stuff in it gives me irrelevant topics. I'm sorry if this has been asked 100 times but:

How soon can I shower and/or bathe after the surgery? I'm sure it's a shorter time to shower than take a bath since in the bath you're submerged.

Are there any restrictions on walking up stairs after surgery?

I was told 48 hours after surgery for a shower. And it was a couple weeks before a bath.

And no restrictions on stairs other than take it slow, and don't be climbing a ton of them.

I took a shower in the hospital the day I went home (had surgery on a Friday, went home Sunday). I think I was taking a bath almost immediately after I got home. You will have Water proof steri strip on your incisions. No restriction on stairs, either. They want you to walk! Just no lifting :)

I didn't have a limit on time until a shower. I took one when I got home from the hospital. My instructions were not to rub the incision sites or submerge in Water until the incisions were healed.

I didn't have steri strips. I had glue over my incisions.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
