Two Quick Questions

The search function on my phone isn't working very well and when I type stuff in it gives me irrelevant topics. I'm sorry if this has been asked 100 times but:

How soon can I shower and/or bathe after the surgery? I'm sure it's a shorter time to shower than take a bath since in the bath you're submerged.

Are there any restrictions on walking up stairs after surgery?

I was told 48 hours after surgery for a shower. And it was a couple weeks before a bath.

And no restrictions on stairs other than take it slow, and don't be climbing a ton of them.

I took a shower in the hospital the day I went home (had surgery on a Friday, went home Sunday). I think I was taking a bath almost immediately after I got home. You will have water proof steri strip on your incisions. No restriction on stairs, either. They want you to walk! Just no lifting :)

I didn't have a limit on time until a shower. I took one when I got home from the hospital. My instructions were not to rub the incision sites or submerge in water until the incisions were healed.

I didn't have steri strips. I had glue over my incisions.
