Well its a recap for those i was speaking to last week on my thread for weight loss... My thoughts are clear im touching on the topics of the side effects of topamax and drinking soda and lack of appetite... "Did i clearify" enough for you?

I take topamax too. 150 mg. What kind of side effects are you having?

Aren't you concerned that you are only eating one meal a day? That is without doubt screwing up your metabolism and seriously affecting your ability to have steady and consistant weight loss. (???) When did you have your surgery? Even if we are one of the few lucky ones who don't get hungry then we have to learn to eat "by the clock" whether we are hungry or not. Our health depends on it...

Well i snack on veggies or a yogart and i only notice that since the last two days im eating only dinner... I dont want to not eat.. Its not my goal... Trust me.. Im just happy that i lost 5 lbs. but now that ive noticed that im only just eating dinner because that is when i am hungry im going to set timers for myself.. Weight loss is a battle anyone on here knows this... But being healthy while loosing is important as well.

Just a little advice, take it not , your choice maam. When someone tries to help you write out a better more thought out post for all to read, since you posted in on a normal forum with no hint it was an update for specific people. You might not want to be rude afterward.

Good luck in your goals. Im sure there is someone here who will be available to help you

Have a nice day.

I'm taking my time to post again because I care. You will find that is true of just about everyone here on BP. We try to help each other, and if that means we don't understand HOW we can help, we ask again!

It sounds to me like you are not ready to hear what I have to say but I'm going to say it anyway. I'm assuming you are in a pre-surgery program, following the steps your medical team is requiring that lead to getting your surgery. That surely includes a written eating plan that helps you begin to change your old, familiar unhealthy eating habits and form the new habits that you will have to follow for the rest of your life. In not taking that seriously, you are not preparing yourself for what is to come. WLS is a drastic lifestyle change. The operation itself is only about 10% of it. The other 90% of it is how much you prepare ahead of time and then never turn back to your "old life" of unhealthy eating habits. But, like anyone here will tell you-- it is all about CHOICE. You can choose to change, or you can choose to not.

Is WLS hard work and challenging? Yes. Do you have to think of it as a "BATTLE?" No. You can choose to think of it positively as FREEDOM. I wake up every day knowing that I have power over my food now. It no longer controls me! How many years of my life I wasted thinking there was no other way.

Glad it is working for you. My co-worker was taking it for Migraines and it ended up giving her depression and anxiety attacks, it did have the side effect of weight loss for her though. I think she lost 7 lbs, but she is not overweight at all.

I take topamax for headaches as well- not weight loss. I have maybe lost 4-5 pounds in about 6 weeks without making any changes and I think that's pretty darn good for someone more than 4 years post-op VSG!

I took that for Migraines for about 6 months. I had a huge amount of Hair loss and anxiety. Wish I never took it since it didn't help the migraines and the hair loss terrible.

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
