Hello everyone. I'm on month 5 and have lost 70lbs!

Now that I'm done bragging..... Here's my question. Can you give me a site where I can find recipes especially for gastric bypass. I've been cheating way to much and don't want to get into bad habits.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know how "legit" They are, but if you're on Pinterest, search bariatric surgery, bariatric recipes, etc. I've found lots of recipes I'm saving for when I'm ready to eat again. My bypass is in 8 hours, yikes! I'm nervous.

They said it all. Eggface will change your life! I've been cooking her crockpot carnitas for family get togethers for years now and all of my non-bariatric patient family loves it too!

Eggface has all kinds of recipes on her blog.

Egg face is the best!

Congratulations and good luck! The beginning can be tough, but you will look back on it with so much pride because after surgery and recovery comes transformation of every imaginable kind.

Wow 70 pounds in 5 months that's really awesome I hope the same works for me. I had surgery 9 days ago in down 12 pounds already, really tough with the diet stage foods but it's worth it. I have thought about pizza or soda in almost a week. Really love Water now

Haven't I ment

I am six months out and cheating way too much as well. I found out I don't dump and that is a bad thing because I can eat sweets and must stop. This is a great discussion.

I had my surgery on May 1st. Just had an appt. a few days ago and I am down 41 lbs. I am now in the Soft food Stage. Just having issues with tolerating some foods and looking for recipes and foods that may work good for me

I'm seven weeks post op and have found the cottage cheese with fruit cups in the yogurt section work really well for me, as well as babybel cheese minis.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
