Eating at 3 weeks post op

Recommended Posts

I am 3 weeks post op. What and how much were you eating at 3 weeks. Also, I've lost 12lbs since surgery, a total of 34 since the 4 week pre op diet. What did you loose by 3 weeks?

I was still on full liquids for week 3, and really tired of them! Are you still on full liquids, or are you on purees?

I was on full liquids then. And I had no idea how much I had lost as I stayed off the scale entirely until 4 weeks out.

I think I need to get rid of my scale. I have stepped on it every morning since coming home from the hospital and I'm driving myself crazy

Ugh, I'm doing the same thing! Sometimes even weighing myself in the morning and before bed...I need to stop! I gained 0.4 pounds from yesterday and am so upset with myself! I try to keep reminding myself that the sleeve is letting me do better than I ever have before.

I am 1 week post op and starting to venture into puree stage for week two. I am so sick of sweet, I can't hardly tolerate the smell of anything sweet so I've done blended cottage cheese, blended lentil Soup and after having no food at all (liquids) for the last 3 weeks it tasted like heaven lol. I am only eating around 2-3 oz at a time and taking bites about 1/8 of a teaspoon at a time so I am tolerating it well. I found the lentil Soup in the organic section of the grocery store an it is wonderful.

Pinterest has some great recipes including the ricotta bake. I love cheese and lasagna etc, that's what it put me in mind of, lasagna without the noodles ????

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
