June 30th Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am feeling a bit down. I lost 20lbs in about 3 weeks and since then it has been creeping down a few ounces at a time! I feel so impatient. I can eat anything now and have been sticking to small quantities and calories around 700 mark with usually 70grams of Protein. How are you guys doing? Keep waiting for the scale to pick up again. I am going away for 2 weeks at the end of August WITHOUT my scale. Wondering if I should pack it :) I don't know how I will make it that long without weighing...

Hi everyone! Happy 1 month!!

I am down 23 pounds and 35 inches total!! Even though I'm so happy about that I think I could have lost more this past week.

This last weekend I was moving out of my college apartment. My roommates and I moved, cleaned, and laughed about memories and I took a little break from focusing on my water/protein/carb intake. I was still very careful about HOW I ate, but since we were so busy I don't think they noticed. Since I was sad about leaving my college town, I had a few meals from my favorite places- which included A Breakfast taco (and please don't judge me) which included the homemade tortilla and all. - granted it took me over 7 hours to eat it and I didn't even finish it.

Throughout the 4 weeks I haven't been great at getting my Protein in everyday, but since I just got a membership to SAMs things are going to change! I got the 30 pack of premier shakes and a huge tub of it so I can make like a mocha frappe in my magic bullet!!

For exercise I've been swimming and walking (especially a lot on those nights when I waitress!)

Hope everyone is doing great and look forward to everyone's everyday progress!!!

Hope you're all settled in after your move. Did you graduate recently or just move to another location while you finish school?

What did you major in?

(Sorry so many questions but you got me curious. Also sorry I didn't ask when you first posted. Been so busy I didn't have time to ask until now.)

I just graduated in May! My major was dance education with a minor in special education- dance team and classes are big in high school in Texas! So not only do I get to teach, I get to workout for my job - which will be so much easier now!!
awesome!! That is the coolest job! I'm happy for you! Congrats!

And sooo many more options for a major in dance. You could even have your own studio some day!

Don't pack it! Aren't you going on a cruise? Go and have fun and leave the stress at home. Just remember protein first and very little carbs and your sleeve will keep you from over doing it.

In fact- take your measurements now and when you come back take them again so you can see that those ounces add up in inches!

It will also give you the scale and your measurements to look forward to when you come home! :)

Measurements are a good idea! I'd like to relax but I wish the scale would move faster - was hoping to be down a few more lbs before I go away in 2 weeks. It isn't a cruise just a lake house with my 2 kids and husband, so I could bring my scale :) I will bring my food scale in any case. Does it seem to you that I am eating a lot? I find it hard to get the protein in without the calories! Obviously!

My loss is almost exactly the same as yours. I'm choosing not to fret. Leave the scale behind. I read on another thread that one person's surgeon said there is no such as a stall, it's just people who are weighing themselves too much. It's only the total loss after 12 months that truly matters. Hang in there! How often have you lost 25 pounds in a month????

im sorry. Think I confused you with someone else in the group. But still all the same- leave that scale at home and relax. You will do just fine. :) (and u probably will be down a few more lbs in a couple of weeks!) ;)

Had to share this with all of you! Made this tonight and it totally helped satisfy my pizza craving! Of course it's not like pigging out on a Pizza Hut stuffed crust meat lovers pizza...but it still tastes delicious!

Plus It's high in Protein and super low in carbs. Gotta try it!!

Here's a link to the recipe:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
