Hi all..

New to the forum and the whole idea of bariatric surgery. Thought the whole approval process would be grueling at best. Boy was I surprised....Had my consult with True Results on May 13th, psych evaluation May 18th, sleep study May 21, forms submitted to blue cross May 28th, approved and letter in my mailbox today...June 11th!!!!!! Calling the surgeon first thing in the morning. Good luck to everyone and I'll keep you posted.

You may have just set a record for getting bariatric surgery through the insurance route. The only time I have seen it quicker is with the co-pay folks who can fast-track because there is no insurance to muddle up the process. Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

It is encouraging and refreshing to hear a positive insurance story! Congratulations!!!

Surgery date is 08.14. I had to push it out because I have a trip to Jamaica and Las Vegas in July. Thanks and good luck to everyone????
