Miss Mac 6,261 Posted June 3, 2015 I have been having frequent hot flashes since 2001 and even call myself "Hot Flash Woman", but or a few weeks after getting sleeved, I was actually cold and wearing extra layers. It finally went away. The good news for me is that I just read that the average post-menopausal woman has hot flashes for 14-15 years before they slack off. So....I should be about done. VSG_Hopeful 51 Posted June 3, 2015 I've heard of this from many sleevers and experienced it first hand last night. Everyone else in my home seemed comfortable at 65 degrees but I was literally freezing. To the point where i was shivering and my teeth were chattering. I pulled out my winter blanket and still couldn't get warm. I finally got up and pulled on a second layer of clothes and that helped.
jhclikesshopping@gmail.com 285 Posted June 3, 2015 Hi!! I have had this problem since surgery. I no longer wear my capri yoga pants - since I am constantly cold. At first I thought it was part of my loss of carbs - yes, I was a carb-whore. But now I wonder if salt has something to do with it. I am really low in my sodium intake and notice when I add salt to my morning egg, I am not "as cold" as when I have my Protein shake in the morning. My best girlfriend is a very thin and very cold person. She made a funny point - thin people are usually cold. Maybe this is just how the thin people do it (wink wink!). bellabill 253 Posted June 3, 2015 Yes I have been cold more than I ever was before surgery. My husband and kids say it's not that "cold".
LisaPunkinHead 187 Posted June 3, 2015 I am always cold now. Better than the hot flashes I used to have, and the sweats I would break into just from going from a sitting to a standing position. We are losing insulation!!!
wantingabetterlife 364 Posted June 3, 2015 Lol, I live in Florida and wear long sleeves when it is 90 degrees here! At home, I wear a light jacket and socks.
