Everyones menus looks great but I'm still in the large portion frame of mind.

Of course I'm still a newbie but it looks like a lot of menus are very low calorie. Apparently it's been working for you though?

I was told to have between 1000-1200 calories because any lower I would have a hard time losing weight.

Again, everyone here seems to be doing well by your stats.

Any comments appreciated.

thats my experience. i didn't lose much in the beginning, and that was having my calories around 800-900. my daily avg is around 1100.

I LOVE the recipes/snack ideas over at http://www.hungry-girl.com -- plus they keep track of all the cool new stuff that comes out to help those who are trying to lose weight, not be hungry AND -- get this -- be balanced! (I love the idea of Fiber One Toaster Pastries -- and getting enough fiber in my diet has definitely been a challenge! I had to get a prescription for Miralax a/k/a polyethylene glycol to get things moving again) -- has anyone else discovered that website, too? :w00t:

32 pounds down, 45 more to go to goal!

My doc wants me around 900-1000 calories and i think that's crap lol. i told him straight out that i don't count..and when i start slowing down on my weight loss i'll start. SO i just make sure i eat good portions and make decent choices.

well i've had a bad experience yesterday and today. i think i'm too full..not so much so that anything comes up, but if i sip Water or try to eat i get this extreme burning in my chest and throat. at one point i just starting crying. i didn't end up eating anything i posted yesterday...just two bites of a corn cake...and nothing yet today. SO i called my doc last night and he was nice enough to come in to the office today (they are closed) and i think he had surgery today as well--earlier. i'm going to get this week's fill--unfilled and boy am i happy i have a doc that cares enough to come in so i don't have to suffer until monday.

i'll be happy to post-hopefully-soup later. wish me luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
