I had my sleeve surgery on March 12, My weight was 250 at weigh in, I am now at 220, with a thirty pound weight loss, I'm so proud thus far but I'm having trouble with being hungry often. I can usually eat about four to five small meals a day, usually no More than 800 calories a day but my carbs are usually 50 to 60 a day. I know that's not good that's why I've slowed down losing weight, any suggestions on how to limit my carbs and what to eat?

You are not over doing carbs if you take in less then that you could have liver problems remember be on a low carb diet but don't be on a no carb diet.

Make sure you are getting in your Protein...eat all your Protein first, then some veggies...no carbs unless you have room for a few bites. Good luck!

Eating 4-5 times a day is what my program called for...all mini meals. Protein first, veggies next, then fruit and then a bite or two of carby food. Veggies and fruit have carbs in them too (so does yogurt, Protein drinks etc.) and that is fine as long as it is moderate.

Be sure you are drinking enough Water and taking an acid inhibitor because acid mimics hunger.

Are you exercising?

To me sounds like you are doing just fine!

I'm feeling the same way. So relieved to see your post this morning. Surgery was March 3rd. Dos 220 Today 195 and I've been stuck here for weeks. Following protocol. Don't know what to do to get it moving! Good luck to you!

What a relief it is knowing I'm not the only one like this. Its almost to a T! I consume about 4-5 small meals\snack. I also am hungry often and have intense acid reflux so I'm thinking that could be it. I had my surgery on 3/31/15 and was at 222 I am at 200 even today and I am about 8 weeks post op. I think I hit a stall last week because I've stayed at 200 last week and this week. I am at about 800 or a little less some days, of calories as well. I am seeing the difference so its still a happy outcome, just wish it could speed up just a little, lol! Good luck and keep me posted how you are doing in the future. ☺

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
