I look forward to diving into the pool and not sitting on the side line too embarrassed to put on a suite. I was on the swim team and my 3 children love the Water and swimming.

I probably never do a bikini because I have the old school C-section scar.

Rhonda, you could always try a high waist bikini or the long line topped bikinis :) I hope one day to put myself in one of those lol!

I'm looking forward to not having my size consume my every thought! In the past few years I've put on a lot of weight and at this point I feel like no matter what I'm doing or where I am, my mind tortures me with self doubt and worry about what everyone else is thinking about me. It's exhausting. Looking forward to putting that behind me and replacing those feelings with pride, ethusiasm and happiness!

And yeah...I'm also looking forward to dancing and being part of the action instead of watching the action!!

Reading your post was like reading my thoughts and feelings out loud. Everything you said I feel the EXACT same way.

I look forward to having a photo of my husband and me taken! We've been married five years and have only two snapshots of us because of my weight issues--including our wedding day!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
