Insurance Approved. Doctor Chosen. Newbie

Hi! I am 31 years old diagnosed with PCOS and pre-diabetic with early arthritis in my lower back and knees. My BMI is 34. I got a referral from my doctor last week, did my application with UCLA Bariatic Surgery for a roux-en-y procedure and am waiting for an appointment. I live in Los Angeles and have struggled with my weight since 2003 from 130lbs to 223lbs to 145lbs now back at 219lbs.

Any tips for my first appointment would be appreciated.
