Well I'm three weeks from RNY surgery and have hit a stall. Down 18 pounds and the scale sits for a week at the same exact weight no matter what I do. I walked 3 miles yesterday rode the bike 3 miles and did strengthening exercises I am drinking what I'm supposed to, getting in my Protein and the scale still doesn't move. I'm so depressed I don't know what to do

I hear about everybody's rapid weight loss but never thought I would stall at three weeks. I spent last night and this morning crying, wondering why I did this to not lose much

Don't stress!!!!!!!!!!!! it happens to everyone. I hit mine at 3 weeks as well. Took a couple of weeks...and I wasn't exercising ... and then I just kept dropping. Your body is trying to adjust.....

Relax....it will pass...and continued success!!!!

Here is the thing. Everyone hits the stall and it won't be the first one. The best thing you can do for yourself is not get so frustrated that you cry because it is going to happen more than once. If you follow the plan, you will begin losing again.

If the scale upsets you so much you might want to stick to weighing in once a month. You will not notice the stalls when they happen. Your body simply needs a break and so it takes one. There are many many posts on this site about the 3 week stall, it might help to search and read through them or even do. Google search so you understand why it is happening.

I promise you that if you follow the plan, you will start losing again. Do not let your stall derail you. You can do this!

Exactly. Stalls are steps on the way down. Stalls are your body taking a breath. Stalls are normal. Stalls happen to every one of us, no matter if you like it or not! Now, you don't honestly think that with ALL the success stories on this site that we went down like a dropping elevator car, do you ? NO! But all of us got there, and you will too! I know, the frustration feels just like it did before wls, believe all of us, it will be ok, because NOW your body will keep on going and before you know it, YOU TOO will be passing along encouragement to others. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
