Everything went with for my. Surgery. Im stuck in recovery because there are no beds open at the moment. Not feeling too much pain. I have a morphine pump but only used it a few times. Mainly just a bit of pressure in my chest which I am assuming is air.

Feeling yucky on day 2 post op. Im allowed to drink Water today but am finding it difficult. Makes me nauseous. Im sleeping and walking too. If all keeps going well I should be discharged tomorrow.

I was discharged same day. Surgery was at 9am. In the car headed home by 2pm

So far no troubles getting Water down. Just have to be careful how I drink or an air bubble goes down.

Been walking when I'm not sleeping.

Nausea patch they put behind my ear has worn off today so having to take some the pills they prescribed me. Ready to start feeling normal.

I'm feeling better today. I have one incision that hurts more than the others. I think that it's the one my stomach may have come out of.

How is everyone doing?

Glad to hear everyone's surgeries went well, mine went as good I could have expected.

Had the surgery at 3:30 on Wed, got released to go home Thursday morning. Last night I was pretty sore especially on my rights side incision. Walking, Gas-X and burping seemed to help relieve the pressure I had in my chest. Slept well and feel better this morning, going to watch myself so I don’t overdo things today.

I am very excited to see what the future holds for me and my fellow March 25th sleevers.

Is your right side incision swollen at all? Mine is a little swollen and red, but doesn't have any drainage and isn't hot, and I don't have a fever. I'm figuring that's the incision they took my stomach out of.

I have one incision that hurts more than the others too. I have 7 total. They are feeling much less sore since ive been keeping up on pain meds. Im planning to just do tylenol at home. Im getting ready to be discharged. Im so glad I will be able to shower soon.

Ladycook, it sounds like we have the same painful incision, nothing draining from mine. Most of my discomfort that was controlled with the pain meds was/is from the left over gas in my chest.

I found out setting an alarm and taking my meds on schedule was worth the inconvenience of wakening up in the middle of the night. when I woke this morning I felt much better.

It is amazing how much better a shower can make you feel, it was very good.

Now my goal for today is get my Proteins, the Isopure Zero carb is my choice for today.

I'm using Isopure as well. Having the blue raspberry today.

I'm not able to take a shower until 48 hours after surgery. So I can't take one until tomorrow morning.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
