What is mince? :) You aren't US, are you? :D

now I'm on day 9 and it's like I never had surgery where fluids R concerned! Ice cream gives me awful gurgling noises

Why on earth are you eating ice cream???

I'm eating ice cream because my consultant told me to as I can't keep much in there!
Interesting! I'd love to know what the rest of your plan looks like.

Ice cream makes me hurl. Two bites and I am face down in the toilet.

Cream of Tomato Soup, oxtail Soup, any sorts of Soups as long as not got big lumps in it! I am now on soft foods so I can have things like mash potato with some cheese on it, I'm allowed mince with sauce as long as it's smashed down

No not us I am in the uk

She already said she was UK. There are a few of us on here.... And our plans are totally different. . .

And nothing has made me sick yet.

Mince is chopped meat (like hamburger, ground round, ground turkey, etc.)

Well today I totally stuffed up! I am 3 weeks post and ate a whole packet (121g) of maltesers thru the course of 3 hours this evening! I feel so awful mentally not physically cause I did it! I also went out to eat with my 3 kids and my mum and we went Toby carvery and it was so funny as my girls had bigger plates of food than I did! I ate about 20g Turkey 50g mash and had loads of gravy to make it mushy! I also had a 50g size Yorkshire! took me about half hour to eat it, it didn't make me feel ill or anything I felt comfortably full not sick full! Over in uk it goes 1-2 weeks liquids 2-4 weeks soft foods 4-6 weeks start introducing harder stuff! But my consultant suggested I tried meats as long as I chew to a mush which I did! I am at a stall at moment and actually gained 3kg but it's my time of the month in next few days so I am not shocked!!!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

I found that every time I tried something new, I could only get down a couple of bites or spoonfuls but the next time I would eat that particular food, I was able to eat more, (2-3 oz)

Over eating don't know what to do I feel like am lost and keep avoiding my doctor visits

Are you avoiding the doctor because you feel ashamed of the overeating? And when you say you are overeating, what exactly do you mean? Are you overeating in a single sitting or are you grazing through the day or are you eating the wrong things?

Day 7 on puréed Protein. I am able to consume 4oz of protein three times a day but I feel quit full by the end of the last bite. Still working on getting in 64 oz of liquid a day.

Stop and face the music. Your doctor's visit are designed to help you. At some point you need to help yourself. Go see the doctor. If possible speak with the nutritionist and p;an how to get back on track. If necessary clean the house out of any temptations.

I am 4 weeks out. I can hardly eat anything. I tolerate Protein shakes pretty well (but I am so tired of them). When ever I try to eat any food (pureed), my sleeve can't tolerate. After 1-2 bites either it feels stuck in my chest, or feels like it wants to come back up (and sometimes it does). It seems like I can't get enough calories. I do feel hungry a little, or at least if feels like I need to eat, but I can't. My stomach feels empty, and I feel very tired all day long.

Is this normal? Does anyone know how many calories should be consumed to continue to lose weight? I feel like my weight loss is slowing.

I'm told that it is normal. I am about five weeks post-op, and I can't tolerate much, either. I have found that the easiest way to get my Protein in is with the Protein Shakes (of which I am heartily tired) and Greek yogurt (which I don't really like, but it goes down easily and keeps me full.) I use the Premier shakes (30g protein each) and Oikos Triple Zero yogurt (15g protein). Regular food smells wonderful, but two bites and I'm done!

@@DisforDavid My NUT had the same requirements regarding the eat for 20 minutes and then stop. In the 20 minutes I was able to eat about 2 oz of food and felt very full (at 2 weeks).

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
