Your doctor should have a list of foods and timeline for each stage after surgery. Typically you're on liquids for a few weeks, then puree/soft foods and eventually transition to regular food.

yes, your doctor and nutritionist should have this info for you. You didn't have to go to pre-op classes? Usually clear liquids, then full liquids, puree, soft then regular.

As they have already said, your doctor will give you a program to follow. Mine was 10 days clear liquids, 4 days full liquids, 1 week pureed, 1 week soft, then introduce new foods. Longer waits for lettuce, fruits/veggies with skin, crunchy food, dry food, etc. General answer is a couple months.
