I haven't logged in since last November! There have been some amazing changes to the site. Glad to see familiar names are still here. Looking forward to getting reacquainted with everyone.

I'm back ... searching the complications section because I think my band has slipped. I've been having a terrible time keeping anything down including Water. This has been going on for a week now and happened for about a week two months ago.

I just discovered that my dr is on my new insurance, so I'm making an appointment today! I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to find out if I was covered - could have been seeing him back in January.

Hoping that things are OK, but expecting to get some back news. At this point I'm down to 169 - haven't seen those numbers since 1987!!!

LaReine, welcome back! Were you able to get in to see your Dr? With the complications you mentioned, it sounds an awful lot like it could be a slippage.

A good friend of mine had a slip repaired in April. Her doc found quite a bit of scar tissue when they went in for the repair which leads him to believe it was slipping up & down for approx 2-3 months.

Take care of yourself, it's not good if you're having trouble keeping liquids down... be careful of dehydration.

All the best,

Karla

I was able to get in to see my doctor the same day that I posted this message. Had a complete unfill and was scheduled to go back today for a partial fill. Unfortunately, my regular doctor is on vacation and I was scheduled to see the other doctor in the office. He did not want to do the fill today because he wanted me to see the nutrionist first (never a word of this when the appt was scheduled). Needless to say, I left with the fill and a new appt in a few weeks to see my doctor.

After the unfill, I felt a millions times better and have been reunited with bread! Looking forward to getting a fill, need it because I can eat everything! Ugh.

I too have been gone for some time. I sort of slipped off the lap-band radar when I got pregnant last August. I delivered my healthy baby boy on April 30, 2007 weighing 8# 5oz. I am already back down to my prepregnancy weight and raring to get started again. I am planning to get family photos done in October with my 4 boys, hubby and myself. I'm hoping to be at least another 30 pounds down by then...maybe more. Anyone with advice...is definately welcome. It's hard to get motivated when you're busy caring for an infant, a 3 year old, 2 older boys, a husband and a household. It sure doesn't leave much time for taking care of me, but I know I have to invest the time. Thanks for listening.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
