I have a question from all my friends who had their sleeve on 03/17/15. Do any of you still have pain where the stomach was removed? I was better up until Monday 04/06/15 when I think I pulled something. Went to Primary Care yesterday who stated it should be okay. It hurts to bend just like when the sleeve was done, do you think I should call the surgeon? :(

Tlemieux220 I would suggest letting your surgeon know. I was sleeved on the 17th March too and I ended up back in the hospital but they couldn't tell me why I had the pain.

Can I ask though what's your weight loss been like??

I am doing much better today, I spoke to the nurse who stated is sounds like I pulled the muscle where they took out the stomach. I went home early yesterday and stayed in bed. I decided to wear a dress to work today to see if maybe the pants are causing the hurting as well since I sit all day at work. I hope they find out what happened with you. My surgeon stated if I don't drink enough Water or liquids that that can cause people to go back to the hospital. Are you getting all of your Proteins and liquids in?

I have lost 20 lbs so far, but now at a stand still, I think it is because I am back at work week and my body has to get use to being back and not resting and hoping it will continue to go down. Thanks for checking up on me.

Apparently I was severely dehydrated and that caused my stomach to contract. I am at a stand still myself I went on an hour long walk up and down hills and plan on going swimming next week to try and get my weight loss to continue. Has the pain decreased now your not wearing trousers??

Yes, it is better today then the rest of the week. I am going to go back to the gym starting tomorrow and see if walking on the treadmill will help with my losing. Keep me posted on how you are doing and maybe we could support each other. It would really be nice to have someone who is going through the samething.

My surgery was also on 3/17. That will be an easy date to remember! I seem to be fully recovered but my weight loss has become very slow. I lost 11 lbs during week two but only like 5 lbs since then. :( What kind of weight loss are you all seeing?

30 pounds in a month is an amazing achievement. Don't feel down. My doc said the biggest loss comes in the first two weeks after surgery and then you can expect anywhere from 1-5 pounds a week. I lost 25 in my first month and just hit thirty at 6 weeks. Hang in there, it's working!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
