Relaxing at the Marriott! Kinda bummed that my sister and her husband are going to get tacos but oh well. I can't wait for tomorrow! I did all my pre op tests today and I'm scheduled for the first surgery in the morning!

How are you doing @@cassie_vsg ??

@@katyh2015 I'm doing great. Definitely over did it with traveling yesterday and today so I'm exhausted. But overall I feel great! No hunger at all. Definitely learning to sip and not gulp.....that's been an experience for sure! Now I'm finally home and just relaxing. Thanks for checking on me!

I'm doing great! No issues so far. Getting the liquids down is still a full time job, but I'm not hungry or sore. I've only lost 4 lbs, but I'll gladly take every pound. Good luck on your surgery!

I have the opposite bathroom problem, oh the joys! I am getting ready to start soft foods tomorrow. Last week I enjoyed a bit of the potatoes and broccoli from my Soups, tried an egg and some refried Beans. Doing pretty well I think. It's still a learning lesson to try to figure out when I'm full. There's been a couple times that I've really not felt well after eating, and I think it's from eating too much. Even though that too much is still so small! I'm finding that if I eat very slow, take a lot of breaks, I can tell a bit better. So one trick for me is to not let myself get too hungry or I eat faster then I should. I'm down 19 lbs from my starting weight though so I'm happy with that. I see people posting double that loss but I also have to remind myself that this isn't a race, and compared to some people I don't have quite so much to lose.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
