6 months out, been eating sushi since 4 months out. Rice doesn't bother my sleeve guess I must be lucky or unlucky, depending on whether you think rice is good for you to eat, whether white or brown.

Lucky in my book! I am jealous. Rice is one of the only things I can't tolerate even in tiny amounts and I do wish I could have an occasional sushi roll! I've done it with seaweed but it isn't the same

I'm 2 weeks out and just had a tuna avocado Naruto roll - wrapped in cucumber instead of rice. Chewed to a mush, of course. It seems to be doing just fine! Hooray! ????

I'm 15 months out and recently tried sushi rolls first time post op a few weeks ago as I missed it dearly ???????????? I ❤️????sushi and at one point had it 2-3 times a week prior to surgery. At this point I only get rolls without any rice - spicy tuna or salmon or scallop types with avocado -- i take my time and can only get in 3-4 pieces of one roll. its soooo good and i dont miss the rice one bit???? i wait about 20/25 minutes before attempting 4th piece

I eat sushi a lot. One roll with 8 pieces takes me all day to eat. So worth it!???? rocks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
