Nyree,

I want to respond to you with a good answer.

There is no good answer.

At least 1 lb and less then 100 lbs.

Seriously, everyone is different. My doctor says 1 to 3 lbs average a week.

If I were you I would expect 6 lbs is you must know a number and be happy with 2.

Actually I don't know anyone who has hd a fil at 2 weeks. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I just usually hear 4-6 weeks. My doc makes everyone wait 6 weeks.

Really though you should be focused on healing though and not weight loss. You will have no Fluid in your band so you probably won't have too much restriction but will most likely be on a liquid diet for a week or so. I would say 5 or 6 but you might lose nothing and that will be okay, you might lose 10 and that would be okay. Everyone is different

I'd say that nobody gets a fill two weeks after surgery. Are you having it done in the U.S.? Typically the postop liquid diet is at least two weeks, more like four in most cases, and I've never heard of a doctor being willing to fill until the restriction is assessed postoperatively. That means the patient must be on solid food in order to feel what effect the unfilled band is having on the ability to eat.

Why on earth would you want a fill at two weeks out? I would think that is very risky.

Yep, what Alexandra said.

NO WAY I'd get a fill in an Inamed band until at least four weeks and more likely six weeks post-op. There's no way to be able to assess how much restriction is left over from the surgery itself. Also, the band hasn't seated itself in place with scar tissue yet, a fill before it has healed could cause it to move. Of course every srugeon is different, but I'd wonder...

I wonder if maybe the OP has a two week appointment and misunderstood that it was going to be for a fill. Can't imagine getting a fill after two weeks..you are still so swollen. Good Luck!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
