The dreaded "in-between" stage in clothing sizes - HELP!

Recommended Posts

@@scstxrn Sometimes immediately, but other times hour or 2 later and sometimes the next morning dinner comes out.

In the morning, I have a cup of Decaf coffee, and shortly after i have a normal bowel movement, however before I leave for work I usually have to go 1 or 2 more times and its watery. So needless to say I am probably loosing everything I eat except for the bad stuff which could prevent me from loosing I would think. Heck I don't know!!

I really need to get in my Vitamins, (which I keep forgetting) and get my Water in (which doesn't occur to me) which may eliminate the issue. I did copy a menu plan down from another site and it's food I like, and it also includes the the times to drink the liquids so if I hang that at home and at my desk at work I should be able to follow it to a "T". We'll see if that works...if not, I will contact my Doc. and see whats up!!

With all that being said, again...I am losing so could be just need to re-vamp what I am currently doing.

@@Eclectick I could not drink the shakes post-op but my NUT kept after me to do so. I have tried and returned several in the past 3 months. I have finally found PE Science Snickerdoodle..OMG...so good, I could eat it by the scoop. I mix it with 12 OZ of fair life milk for a glorious 44 grams of Protein. I eat lunch that consist of a lean Protein and a veggies...a nectar shake-fuzzy naval at the gym and then a small dinner usually cottage cheese, protein and veggie or yogurt. I usually end up at about 90 grams of protein and 500-600 calories. Put you Vitamins in a med box and carry them in your bag..set an alarm on your phone and take them. Always have a bottle or glass of Water with you and drink...This is the hardest thing I have every done and I have struggled but it's your life and your future. Take care of yourself. Be well!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
