My go-to are prunes. I usually will eat about 5.

Several people here also like Smooth Move Tea. I haven't tried it yet, but I've seen it on ebay for less than $7

I am in my 2 week pre-op fast and I can strongly recommend to anyone else starting it. Take benefibre or Metamucil every couple days to keep things moving. Don't know if IBS tolerates it though

They sell Smooth Move in many stores. I bought it at Walgreen's. It has helped me one time, but not others. It is not fun. I was also sleeved almost 5 weeks ago and I am lucky if I "go" at least once a week. I spoke with my doctor and she advised to me to do a capful of Miralax every day and see if that helps.

I was sleeved 7/12 and suffered from Constipation for almost 2 years after surgery. I had IBS prior to the surgery. When I began taking juice plus I became regular for the first time since I can remember. It's great for helping get those much needed fruits and veggies in daily. ginaalexander.juiceplus.com

Hi I was sleeved 4 weeks ago. I am really having trouble with Constipation. I also have IBS so I need something that would not leave me laxative dependent. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My wife was sleeved the day before Thanksgiving and her Christmas gift was severe constipation.

Per our team, she had good luck with Aloe juice and making sure she got all of her Water...

She's been fine since, but takes the Aloe every day.

Oh, and she also takes a probiotic every day - but she's done that for years and had been since the day after her surgery. So I'm pretty certain that for her it was the Aloe and making sure she has all her Water.< /p>

I wish you good luck - I know it's miserable to be stopped up. In the 15 years we've been together, I've never seen her in a more foul mood...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
