It's been a bit since I've been on here....we took a short trip and then I've been sick for a while. I've had some good days and bad but I've been on track this week. I have made an appt for a fill on monday. Ive been trying to keep my band a little loose and do more on my own.....but uh no..i need to take advantage of this little contraption..i got it for a reason! Glad to see everyone doing well.. Welcome aboard @@bacon! S_suther if you haven't had a barium swallow it might not be a bad idea. No big deal you just swallow some liquid and they watch it move through your band. They can see tightness and position of the band. Hope it goes well for you if u decide to do it.

Butterfly-thanks for the info. I agree that it's probably a good idea. I have a HIGH deductible insurance plan, so will have to pay up front. Any idea on a ballpark cost?

I saw something tonight that was pretty inspiring. I was pulling the garbage to the curb and I saw this guy walking making the loop in the cul-de-sac (my house is dead at the end). This was the 3 time since Sunday I have seen him walking. You may be thinking wipty do.. Well it was 27 deg out and the man is prob around 400 pounds. I know where he lives. It is probably over a half mile away. I got a chance to say hi and keep it going to him. Way to go neighbor... I know this is not accountability related, but made me want to hit the elipti-kill for 10 minutes!

Barium swallow was not a test to dread for sure. Just drink what they give you ... wait a few and they watch it go down. I was on insurance so no idea what the cost would be. Sorry. Make sure you flush it through your system afterward. They will tell you this I imagine. Hope you get answers. Some DR. are not good listeners. Hold your own. They work for YOU! I keep that in mind when I have questions. Hugs!

Suther. I thought if I'm going to hold you accountable to go exercise then I owe it to myself to not go to the kitchen.

Happy to say no eating after 8. Check.

:)

Great Day three

Off to a good start. I drive a truck hauling gasoline mostly. I have been getting extra exercise while loading and unloading five to six trips a day. Well today I am hauling jet fuel from Indy to Cincy. Will only have a few chances to get in extra exercise while at work. I am planning on stopping at a rest stop on the way back today and walk for 20 minutes or so. I have only had a few pieces of summer sausage and 3 bottles of Water so far. I will check back this evening. @@s_suther Thanks so much for starting and leading this thread.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
