Surgery is Feb 16th. Surgeon approved FMLA paperwork for 4 weeks!!! I only am hoping for 2 weeks. I really hope she will sign me off at my 10 day appointment assuming no complications. :-(

I have short term disability pay at work, but I have so many project to attend to--- even 2 weeks will be rough. :-(

My surgery is Tuesday 24th, and I am going back to work that following Monday.....if I don't have any major complications. I do not have any more time to take off. So I am hoping that I can sit at work (I'm and admin), instead of fighting off my 3 year old that is very "mommy" when I am home :)

I'm on day 2 of pre-op diet and I'm hungry. I went to bed early last night so I could ignore my growling stomach. Surgery 2-25. How's everyone else's prepping going?

Chrissy bug my doctor it takes about 2 weeks to get over the fatigue. Your low on potassium and feel lifeless tired and lathargic. My Dr requires v8 juice, Tomato juice or Tomato Soup. They are all high in Potassium . I heard less painful than drinking Water. I'm on day three after surgery I am still in the hospital but will be coming home tomorrow. Will start my potassium regimen once released.

That explains why I recovered so fast. I was already on a potassium regimen for almost 2 yrs preop. And Tomato Soup is one of my favorite things. Lol. I don't want to brag, but I was back to my high pace lifestyle last weekend, minus the housework. Lost another 2lbs since surgery too.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
