  1. Congrats Moyebrady! I hear a lot of people talk about a brand of unflavored protein powder called Unjury. I've never tried it. My surgery was 2/10. I haven't had any problem with meat.

  3. Finally hit the second out of 3 goals I set for myself before WLS. I hit 199 today! 53 pounds gone as of today. This has been such a wonderful journey so far. I am so thankful I had WLS. Hope all the February ladies are doing well!

  8. Hi February Ladies, Just wanted to chime in on the stall...I had a stall around 15-20 days out. It's funny, even though I knew it would happen, I was still extremely discouraged. I knew it was nothing I was doing. I'm still on liquids (a few bites of cottage cheese and yogurt). This last week I came out of the stall with a 6 lbs loss. Be patient, stalls pass!

  10. Good luck Tallgirl74! It is nerve wracking, but very worth it!
  11. Chrissiebug have you tried Milk of Magnesia? That's what my Dr. recommends...just a suggestion. Tissiegal, at my follow up I asked my Dr. about the "brickhard" poop...he said it would eventually soften up on its own, but that I could try a stool softener if needed. Keep up the good work ladies!!

  15. Had my surgery follow up appt. with Dr. Friday. With preop diet I'm down 25 lbs. he asked if I had cheated at all...I admitted to licking one of my daughters Bojangles biscuits!!! He laughed. I wanted something salty...kinda sick of the artificial sweetener taste! He kept me on 3 Protein shakes, fluids, and added a couples bites of either yogurt, cottage cheese, or scrambled eggs. He said I was a great patient, no complications, no complaints. All incision sites are healing well. So thankful! Good luck to everybody having surgery this week!

  17. Love Premier Protein shakes (SAMs Club). Have to admit the three Isopure flavors I tried were terrible...you might love them though, others do. Good luck!

  19. Hey Melanie, My Dr. requires 3 Protein shakes a day and only Clear Liquids, i.e., sugar free Jello, crystal lite drinks, broth, and sugar free popcicles. That's it, no soft, or other Soups of any kind for 4 weeks postop. I think it took me 4 days to get all 3 Protein Shakes in and 5-6 to get all liquids in. I think we had surgery 6 days apart (2/10 here). I've had no issues and am dropping weight like crazy. I go see my Dr. on Friday, but I think he's just gonna weigh me and start me on the Vitamins. Just take your time and don't push to hard. Everything needs time to heal.
  20. Looks like everyone is doing great after surgery... YEA!!! ???? Good luck everyone joining the February Fabulous Losers this week! 1 week postop weight check: -10.6 lbs. WOOP! Couldn't be happier. Let's keep kicking this FatMonster in the butt!!????
  21. I will admit the first night was painful. I'm a stomach sleeper so sleeping on my back was different. I was drinking so much liquid I had to get up (with 6 stitched up places in my tummy) and go pee every hour. All of which added up to a terrible night. I should have taken the pain meds earlier! After the first night it has gotten better each additional. My tummy is just barely sore today. You got this!!
  22. Good luck Melanie36 and Tiffanyaok. ???? Just keep in mind how you felt when you started this journey! Had GB 2/10. My only surprise was I thought I would be on a 2 week liquid diet afterward, but it's actually 4 weeks!! I just want some soup (no broth) for goodness sake...but no...4 weeks. I'll survive, but my tastebuds are dying for something other than artificial sweetener!! I guess I need to just shut it, because the weight is falling off. I'm 5 days postop and have lost 8lbs. YEA!
  23. Had my surgery 2/10. Got home yesterday about 4 pm. Have to admit last night was awful! I was so pumped with fluids I was up every hour to pee and it was excruciating each time I got up. I should have taken my pain meds sooner to knock me out. Today has been a little better...one day at a time!????
  24. In case I don't get back on before Thursday...good luck Lucky! ???? See ya on the losing side.
