Ok friends, I'm at week 11 and have only lost 23 pounds. It's extremely difficult to get into the nutritionist at our program. I was supposed to have a 3 month check up with her but it will be February before I can get in to see her. I eat anywhere from 600-900 calories a day. I always get my Protein, (mostly from drinks) and I get my Water. I'm doing 30 minutes of cardio at least 2 days a week and I do a 30 minute routine of free weights 2/3 times a week.

Any guesses as to what I'm doing wrong. I do not eat carbs hardly at all. I don't have any issues swallowing and no food has seemed to bother me so far, I've tried everything but steak and fried stuff. Over Christmas I did eat a few pieces of fudge and a few Cookies (no dumping) but after Christmas I haven't eaten any sweets.

Immediately after surgery, your body does not need very much food. This is because it is converting fat cells into the energy your body needs to function. 600-900 calories per day sounds good. The important thing after a gastric bypass surgery is Vitamin, Protein and liquid requirements. It sounds like you are meeting your Protein, liquid and exercise requirements. What about Vitamins? They need to be spaced out during the day.

One of the other factors that can limit weight loss is the effects of medicine. Are you taking any medication that can impact weight loss?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
