I was very nervous almost chickened out at the last minute. It's a big decision and I'm glad I did it. You will be fine looking forward to hearing about how it goes

I was sleeved 12/31/14... 6 days ago and have lost 9lbs. Went back to work on the 5th. I was so scared before, but so very glad now!!! Hang in there. You'll do fine. Just focus on what your surgeon tells you and before you know it.... you will be a week out! Think positive thoughts!!!

I should be having my sleeve around 1/28/15...I am planning to return to work on 2/3/15 everyone is telling me to take longer. Please share your experience with going back within a week of surgery. I just don't have the extra time to take off

I had my surgery December 29 and there is no way I could have gone back monday. It's taking me a little slower to recover/adapt from the surgery and I'm 35. However adjusting to the new lifestyle is a little more difficult than recovering from the procedure itself. I plan to go back to work on the 26 of Jan. Good luck wishing you the best

I had my surgery on 9/11/14 and went back to work on 9/17/14. I'm 45yrs old and went back to work with no problems (no lifting of course). I've lost 69 lbs and feeling fabulous.

Best of luck.

@thetaxlayd, I'll try to detail as best I can. Please know I work at a desk, computer work, thus no manual labor required.

Surgery: WED 12/31/14

Work: MON 1/5/15 (5 days post op) I worked a 1/2 day

Work: TUE 1/6/15 (6 days post op) I worked a full day

Work WED 1/7/15 (7 days post op) I worked a full day --- I did go to bed on TUE at 8pm!

OFF on THU

Work FRI 1/9/15 (9 days post op) I will work a 1/2 day

Physically, today (7 days post op), I'm only having minor issues with one of my incision sites, it is still tender. I'm moving around pretty normally. Also, I am low on energy. Today I've had 60g Protein (two Premier Protein shakes) so hoping my energy will get better and better as I am able to take more Protein into my system.

Ask any questions for more info. Love to help those pre-op in any way.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
