I am 3 days post op and my period came on. It was not supposed to come on for 4 days! This might sound weird, but with my period, it's like clockwork. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be concerned?

I am having a different but similar issue. Perhaps it is the blood thinners we have to take post-surgery to prevent blood clots?

In alot of my pre op information is that your cycle may change and the surgery can induce earlier periods. Im 2 weeka post op and mine has just come and i am in a world of pain. Prior to surgery i had minimal pain. Hoping this isnt something that continues!

My period came the day of surgery October 30. I was out of surgery and when I was put in my room I went to the bathroom and ban I had it. Ever since then my periods been like clockwork which is weird because I never had a regular or monthly period. Someone once told me your body is working different now so a lot will change.

Hope that helps.

My period finished exactly a week before surgery. The day after I came home I got it again. For a full 7 days. Mine is also like clockwork. At least it was. We'll see what happens now.

Yep, My surgeon told me not to be alarmed if it did come early. I'm 17 days post op and have been expecting mine, but hasn't come yet. Like you, I'm like clockwork, so it's frustrating not knowing when it's gonna come!!

I am 3 days post op, and I started mine today a week and a half early. I feel even more bloated, head hurts and more crampy then usual. I havent even gotten over the bloated/pain of the surgery 😞

Congrats to all of you on your surgeries. Don’t be surprised if your cycles go haywire for several months. As you lose weight, eostrogen is released from your fat into your body. This hormonal flush can make your cycles go crazy - heavier, lighter, more painful, less painful, more frequent, ... So fun & games ahead. At the moment, it’s likely from the shock of the surgery to your body plus the reduced caloric intake prior to surgery. It does eventually all settle again.

I had sleeve on Monday, had already had my period for the month about 10 days prior. Three days post op, and I had another period that was honestly pretty rough and has continued, and I'm now 6 days post op..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
