How are people paying for plastics?

Recommended Posts

I was self-pay. I joke that pretty soon I'm going to have a Maserati body. I have heard that financing options are often low interest if you have good credit and Mexico surgeries cost like 1/4 of what the same surgery in the state's costs. I really like my doctor a lot and he does a fabulous job, so I'm willing to pay the 50K it takes to get what I want, but believe me I would have preferred to have never been fat and bought the Maserati instead of just the new figure, lol.

I was a self pay, I found a terrific surgeon in Mexico that was about a 1/4 of the cost I was quoted in the states...I am very happy, it was super easy flew to San Diego and was picked up at the airport and taken across the boarder stayed a week and flew home...

did you have dr guitterez??

Just had a TT consult this AM

my doc gives 10% off for cashier check. Better keep saving! Apparently I'm a good candidate ( he said I was nice- I said you tell every one that- he said he would operate on hitler or Charles Manson if dying ha due to ethics )

Anyway. A little lift for the girls and a flatter stomach. Sounds ok at 60 gulp

I saved the money for a few years to get my body contouring. I partially financed through Care Credit interest free my facial plastic surgery.

Hello. I was wondering if you could tell me approximately how much your lbl was? I don't want to contact the surgeon yet because I still have 20# to lose. Thanks.

@@Nevermind I did not have just an LBL done but I believe he charges $10-12k for it nowadays, all inclusive. Kimberly the surgical coordinator will probably tell you right over the phone without you coming in for a consult. Good luck losing the last 20#!

I agree with the above statement before putting money Dow I would double check with your insurance company becuse if you lost at least 100 pounds most insurance covers this Surgury I am looking into it right now good luck.

My Tummy Tuck cost $9,800. It also included lip of flanks. I think I got a very reasonable cost by a reputable doctor in my area. I took it out of savings. My payment of the surgery was due before the surgery. Good luck!!

I had Tummy Tuck, breast lift with implants, thigh lift and advanced Lipo. I used savings.. I am getting a face lift and full face laser resurfacing in sept. Will also be using savings.. My hubby and I looked at it like the cost of car. It was necessary and he will get a lot more mileage out of me lol. I personally wouldn't go out of country and I researched my surgeon (he is one of the top plastics docs in CT) super happy with my results so far and I could care less if I have to drive an old truck instead of a new fancy car.

@@allielee I totally agree! I drive a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, and I cannot think of any car that I'd have rather spent my $40k on than to have spent it on my plastic surgeries! I feel reborn!

I am currently in the consults stage , I have met with two different surgeons and the last consult I had just submitted my paperwork to the insurance. I am learning if you are considering any type of plastic surgery to do your home work, and check with your insurance company prior to setting up appointments. I also learned that if your selected surgeon is in your insurance plan is quicker, for a referral for surgery and prices will different. One surgeon gave me a written quote for 16.500 and that included a body life, Tummy Tuck as well as breast lift, she was not in my plan so everything would have been paid by me, the other surgeon quoted me roughly 9000 for everything with the exception of the body lift in which he said I did not need. I am going to wait and see what my insurance says because they informed me they cover my tummy tuck. So if i later decide on a breast lift I will be saving my pennies. God luck everyone and I will keep you all posted on my progress.

My LBL was about $8,000 but that also included the brazilian butt lift and a inner thigh lift...Prices do vary according to just how much work needs to be done, so that's why I don't like to quote prices, so people arent offended if their estimates are different...

I was super blessed and my insurance paid for my lower body lift. They never pay and I was shocked when I got approved because even my surgeon said he couldn't remember the last one he got approved. He took 7 lbs of skin off and my little tiny waist and cute lifted fanny makes me happy. I bought all new lingerie, small in panties and 32 DD in bra. I'm thrilled with my new shape. I had a breast reduction in my 20s so I am lucky they are still in ok shape. My thighs aren't perfect but I can live with that and my arms never got fat. Lol. Plastics changed my life. I love buying clothes now and dreaded it even when I was at goal because the skin in my abdomen and back looked like an inner tube. Now I am flat with a cute lifted tush. Over the moon!

How long before you had plastic surgery done?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
