FINALLY.. this thing is out of me

I had my band removed a week ago on 12/22 I had been wanting it out for years. I was banded 5/2007. I had nothing but problems the whole time. I did not have enough money to get it out and started to feel trapped with this foreign thing in my body. I felt like the longer it was in me, the more damage it was doing to my insides. Anyway, my insurance ended up paying for it because of complications. IT's OUT!! The surgery went well.. I was in the OR for about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Lots of pain afterward.

Still recovering.. will check in

Would you share a bit more about the complications and what may have led to them? Did you experience complications right away?
