My first 3 weeks of gastric sleeve

On November 24,2014 I had my gastric sleeve. I also had a nisan fundalopion and a hernia repaired. I stayed one day in hospital and did great. Pain was at a good level. Thought everything was going to be great. On my one week check up I was so sick and week I could hardly stand. I had dehydrated very badly. My doctor chewed me out because I didn't call him earlier. I thought with my body going through this much I was doing ok. I stayed 3 days with constant iv going in. I was so dehydrated it took 9 ivs because my veins keep busting. They finally had to put a pic line in. I don't ever want to have this done again, very painful. On November 15, 2014 I had a three week check up. My incisions are healed great. I am having a very hard time with fluid intake and getting my protein. I have lost 23 pounds on my 3 week check up. The doctor wants to know if I have started exercising......what? I am just now able to get up and walk in the house. He said he may have to put a balloon in to stretch the stomach because im not getting enough fluid. I told him that's not my problem. I feel I am rebuilding myself and strength from the complications. Are any of you guys at my level of healing? What can you drink? The most water I can drink a day is 12oz., half a protein shake, and maybe some broth. I know I need more but this is all I can handle now. The discomfort is up high and I dry vomit about everyday. Do you guys have suggestions? I also feel like something huge is sitting on my chest all the time like I feel I have to vomit almost most of the day. Help.... Thanks Jennifer Walker

I haven't had my surgery yet, but it sounds like you're still healing and had a bad start with the dehydration. So sorry you're dealing with all of this!

Hope someone with some experience chimes in with some insight for you.
