Finishing up 2014 for our March group

Recommended Posts

Just a quick note to all my fellow March surgery buddies. This year has gone by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday we were all consoling each other with first going thru the pre-surgical process, the never ending appointments, the waiting for approval, the pre-surgical liquid diets, Protein Shakes, pains, post-surgical food issues, ect...... We're mostly 9 months in and I for one have had such a great year. I feel awesome and have had no real complications to complain about. I've come to terms with food and my emotion, they are no longer dependent on each other which is a huge milestone. If I'm sad, happy, nervous or whatever I've learned how to work thru it, not eat thru it. Life is so fun and exciting again, my energy level is off the charts. So to each and every one of you, I hope that you're doing as well as I am. I hope you've learned to deal with your new self and that life is everything it should be for everyone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

And you - Holy cow, 139 lbs - You have to feel awesome!!! I can't believe how much I've lost and how much life I've recaptured. This has been by far the best year I've had in a long time.

Here's to a future of fun, health and LIVING!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
