Just starting out on this journey....

Hello everyone,

My name's Kristen.. I live in the Sacramento area and I'm just starting out & hoping to get the Gastric sleeve.

I started the Optifast program through Kaiser last September and have lost 120lbs.. I still need to lose another 100 at least and I'm hoping that this surgery will be the tool to help me achieve that!

I have a class on 01/06/2015.. after that I was told to let my doctor know if I'm wanting the surgery and we'll go from there. Does anyone else have Kaiser? About how long from start did it take for you to have surgery? I'm very curious about this because I've seen that this can vary quite a bit.

Also - anyone else in the Sacramento area? I'd love new friends.. someone to catch a movie with, go for a hike, workout, etc.

I hope everyone's having a great Friday!

~Kristen~

I can't answer any of those questions seeing as I don't live in California or know anything about any Of it BUT I just wanted to say congratulations of the weight loss thus far! That's amazing and welcome to the group!

Thank you! I'm very excited! I'm so ready for a change! I've thought about surgery throughout the years.. but this is the 1st time that I feel that I'm really ready for it.

I hope you're having a great weekend!
