B-nice academic pun. Good point, I as usual, was only thinking about myself. Actually I hadn't thought about IP belonging to a secondary source. Interesting.

J - That issue does exist. A school, though, might argue that a paper turned in for a grade is a "work for hire," your compensation being a grade and the opportunity to graduate. If it is a work for hire, then they have some ownership interest in the final product. Not sure how that would hold up in court. At the end of the day, though, they could say that it is a requirement to be at that school that you assign them certain rights, including the right to submit to turnitin. It's a specious argument, but that's the way it works sometimes...

Bodybugg to be ordered today...

Also, want to toot my own horn - over half-way there. I actually lost weight while on vacation! First time ever in my life that has happened....

A cross post but to you an feel for what I'm dealing with currently:

Having had my blood work done at 6 months out it was determined that I am a bit low on Vitamin B 12. I thought I'd just add sources to my diet instead of taking a supplement.

I went to foodtv.com found a recipe, went to Whole Foods, bought some liver, cooked it up all like I was told.

Took a bight and immediately thought is tastes like a dirty barn smells. But the second bight wasn't too bad.

I didn't realize I was hurrying it up in my mouth.

By the third bight I knew it was all going to come back up.

OH For the love of god, this is horrible.

This is the worst PB to date. I write in present tense because as soon as I think I am done, there is more. It's like an informercial, "No wait, there's more."

The lesson to take away from this LIVER=BAD.

I am here everyone. Having a hell of a time catching up. This is busy season for the next few weeks on top of starting a new relationship.

I am in for secret santa. I will be more active here as soon as I finish cranking out the last few projects that are lined up on my desk.

D - Yep - i caved to the peer pressure (and my own obsessive-compulsive need to measure everything).

For what it's worth, there's a special place in hell reserved for the cockknockers that created reeces Peanut Butter cups...

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
