TX- So you could detect the squeal in my voice? LOL

I have 12 appointments this month alone for my surgery next month! I had 4 last month! Isn't that just crazy???? I've been at this for over a year and a half...I thought I'd done and heard it all! Guess I was wrong!

C - Oh, yes, ma'am! I could definitely hear the squeal in your voice! LOL You are getting a chance at a whole new life...of COURSE you will squeal!

Okay, folks...we've done this exercise before, but I would love for y'all to show me the cutest or most ridiculous or PC questionable bike jerseys we can find! I'm going to buy three of them for a couple of organized rides I have comming up. Dig out those old links, folks! Please?

Congrats C on getting your bible. Yeah the diet part sucks but really in the long run it is such a short amount of time even if it does not seem like it at the time.

I am having some food depression too. Mostly because I am back on liquids for a bit (long story) and I just feel like utter crappola. I had probably one of the top 5 worst headaches of my life last night. Thank God for liquid lortab.

I am on a jersey seach TX.

I love the jerseys!

I'm just now being able to squeez into XLs!!! Very cute.

C,

A half cup of food all squished up with little liquid actually isn't that very little.

Who the hell am I kidding?! It's not very much at all.

I actually eat closer to a cup of food, but really it's not that bad. I use little kid plates, or little dishes to eat out of, it just feels better than a little pile on a huge plate, or worse a regular serving on a plate...because then I still TRY to eat more than I should.

Still my biggests problem is taking bights of things like sandwiches or burritos. Using a fork keeps me honest with bight size. I miss overly filling my mouth with food...

BG,

We might need to use the BIMBO jersey for the muddy buddy! I love it. ZZ, Where'd you find that?

The jerseys are great, can you post a link? Weather was great this weekend in the mid 70's only managed to get 16 miles in thought. Had swim meets with the kids. Nothing on tap next weekend looking to put in 30 or 40 miles.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
