day 3 of pre op liquid Impact diet!

Surgery 12.8! Today has been a horrible struggle! The 3 "juice box" meals don't really bother me, it's the crunch of real food i want so bad today! I would love to eat a warm meal also! Monday morning can not get here soon enough!

Day 3 and 4 were definitely a struggle for me as well, but after day 4 it got MUCH easier!!!! The crunch of real food is definitely something you miss in the liquid phases however after surgery you will be so focused on getting what you need liquid wise that it shouldn't bother you as much. Just keep you eye on the prize, and know that it's only for a short while. The sacrifice is worth it!

I have a 2 wk pre op diet with the 1st wk limited to protein shakes, fruits, and vegetables. That was a walk in the park! Day 4 of the 2nd wk is kicking my butt! I am only sllowed to drink the special drinks they gave me for each meal and clear liquids! I am focused and ready! I have big hopes this time around!

Monday is almost here. Stay strong! You are through the worst of it now. After surgery your focus will change and it will all be worth it!

Sending prayers your way!

My surgery is Friday, and I only have 1 day of pre-op - liquid only. Seems strange as I see so many talking about 5 days pre-op liquids and more. I had asked the nurse when I went in for pre-op tests and she said, yup, that's it! Lucky me I guess.......although I am dreading it...
