Hey there, you will feel 100% better immediately if you go outside and take a 1/2 mile walk very slowly. Get moving and I guarantee you that you'll gain energy and feel less hungry. Good luck!

My doc told me that post-op hunger is usually thirst. Work on getting your fluids in. And ditto for the exercise. Good luck!

Your not very far out of surgery. Dont worry about Protein , but make sure to get your Water in. A month low on protein isnt going to hurt you. It will come in time as you start eating more food. You will get hungry its just different.

Hello...Yes, walk or go to the gym. Today was my first day back in the gym and I was only able to do 25 minutes but I'm feeling better. My surgery was 11/18/14. Don't get into that state of Depression because it can easily come. Get Moving...

I agree with Par. Hydration is critical for me. I still struggle with getting enough fluids after 6 months. I feel like I am always behind on it. I did get so dehydrated the day after my surgery that I required IV's. That was a lesson learned.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
