Dec. 15th anyone?

Hey everyone,

I am so excited to get going on this weight loss journey. I feel like I have tried so many other things but with this I feel I can have long term success! I got a bug to get it done and had my first doctor appt. Oct. 17th and it felt like it took forever to get scheduled but it really wasn't very long I guess. I am anxious to get it over with.

Scared of pain, wondering what I will eat. Anyone have any favorite Protein powders? I hear they will be my friend. The only ones I tried in the past were yucky! What about shakes? I like Optifast but they are pricey. Any decent ones out there?

Hoping for some buddies to go through this with me!

Chris.

So happy to hear your surgery went well Rich! Hope you're able to get a little rest :)

Good luck to everyone having surgery today. I'm praying your pain is minimal like mine so far.

Thinking of you Grandma 2 tweeting. You will be great we are all behind you !

Rich soo happy your doing well. Harley and Amy thanks. I'm so excited. I leave hospital in less then one hour. Benji thanks so much for thinking if me surgery at 9:45 2 hrs 11 minutes.

Hope your surgery is on time grandma 2 tweeties. Mine was delayed a hour and a half. Sleep is good right after surgery and when they get you up to sit in the chair will help get the gas up. Warm drinks help when allowed to.

Thinking of all 12/16ers as I sit here doing my preop appointments and labs. Good vibes and prayers go out to yall.

Made it to the other side. The gas pain was so bad felt like so.eone was sitting on my chest. But other than really bad nausea my stomach is fine. I am sleeping alot. Walked 2 laps so far. How long does the nausea last anyone know? It's the only thing holding me back.

About to check in to hospital got my out patient sleeve!! Getting nervous now. So glad to see some of yall posting already! Very reassuring! !! Away I go!!

Well I have crossed over to the sleeved size. Went to surgery at 9:30 and was in my room by 1:00. Worst part was waking up with nausea. I told them ahead of time and got the the nausea meds but it didn't work. Sigh, glad that's over. Got discharged at 3:30 today and I'm home. Nothing to eat for the past two days but I'm not hungry. Just going to take it easy and start on the Protein Drinks tomorrow.

Wish I would have thought to take medicines!

Hi Chris same at home and walking. It's really hard having a one year old who's clinging. Thank goodness for grandparents who are helping out. When I saw my little man I broke down in tears because this one reason for me to go through the gastric sleeve procedure. I m taking the meds buts difficult to swallow having to time it right cause it can be painful.

Just wanted to give a quick update. Surgery was over and was back in my room at lunchtime. Had very minimal gas or pain all day long. Was discharged and home at 8pm. Once I was home my belly started feeling a little sore and gas hit. Nothing I can't handle though.

Good luck to those who are getting sleeved today!!!

I had really bad nausea my first day but they gave me a iv of nausea meds and then I felt great.

Doing so much better today. The nausea medicine didn't work for the first 2 days. Now it is. Each day getting better. I hope it doesn't get better then get worse like some people. Praying for everyone who has gone and is still waiting to get sleeved.
