Dec. 15th anyone?

Hey everyone,

I am so excited to get going on this weight loss journey. I feel like I have tried so many other things but with this I feel I can have long term success! I got a bug to get it done and had my first doctor appt. Oct. 17th and it felt like it took forever to get scheduled but it really wasn't very long I guess. I am anxious to get it over with.

Scared of pain, wondering what I will eat. Anyone have any favorite Protein powders? I hear they will be my friend. The only ones I tried in the past were yucky! What about shakes? I like Optifast but they are pricey. Any decent ones out there?

Hoping for some buddies to go through this with me!

Chris.

Headed home. I have only had very little pain, but gas bubbles are the worst. Can't wait for the rest to work its way out.

How's everyone feeling? Yesterday was rough, but I'm much better today.

Almost home. 2 hour car ride with the roads torn up and traffic sucks. I hurt more now then when I was just out of surgery. Hahaha. It will get better. Can't wait till I get my medicine. Hope everyone else is having a pain free or just about day!

Where do I get gas stripps

Where do I get gas stripps

walmart or walmart. Com etc :)

Hey all I am on the other side! First 2 days the gas pains sucked....now I am home and feeling a bit better. The only thing is the big incision on the right side hurts pretty bad. I have been holding a pillow against it and it helps. Anyone else having that pain? How long foes it last?

Mroth28 try a heading pad for the pain. After the lap band and now the sleeve my heating pad is my best friend. Helps with pain and with gas pain. Gas should be fine in a couple more days. Walking and heat really helps.

Hang in there everyone we will make it through.

The same incision on me hurts. I don't really have pain from my other incisions. The pillow tip definitely kept me comfortable in the hospital.

Who has tried the Gas X strips? Do they work well?

I bought the míralox chewables. Works good. They didn't have the strips at the target close to my hotel. Gas pains ate killing me.

Oh and I can't get a shake down today... so I've done broth and just mixed a nasty nectar roadside lemonade thing...ewww...lol how are y'all doing on water Intake?

Ohhh a heating pad that sounds awesome! Going to send hubby to get one tomorrow.

I am glad you guys are doing so well!

Two days post op. Came home after one night. First day and night were rough. Woke up today sore but overall not too bad. Took my pain meds after the nurse called. I was trying to tough it out. Worst pain are the incisions on the right side. I have heard of people using heating pads. Anyone tried it yet? I thought it might hurt. I managed 24 oz. of water, 2 cups of decaf tea and about a half cup of broth today. Funny how different the post op diets are too!
