Dec. 15th anyone?

Hey everyone,

I am so excited to get going on this weight loss journey. I feel like I have tried so many other things but with this I feel I can have long term success! I got a bug to get it done and had my first doctor appt. Oct. 17th and it felt like it took forever to get scheduled but it really wasn't very long I guess. I am anxious to get it over with.

Scared of pain, wondering what I will eat. Anyone have any favorite Protein powders? I hear they will be my friend. The only ones I tried in the past were yucky! What about shakes? I like Optifast but they are pricey. Any decent ones out there?

Hoping for some buddies to go through this with me!

Chris.

Hi Amy,

Sorry to hear the passing of your mother, sadly we go through seasons of life but it will pass in time. However I admire your spirit that you will try again tomorrow. You can do this!

Amy,

I am so sorry for your loss. I know your mom is proud of you! Keep up the good work.

Amy I am sorry for your loss.

Don't know if any of you on here are also on facebook. There is a closed group on facebook called BariBuddies that started from the people on this board if you'd like to join. It's a little easier to navigate. Look for the picture of the girl with the open arms.

I like staying in touch but this board seems hard to keep up with.

Oh Amy I'm so sorry. That is devastating. Will be keeping you close in my prayers... And yes please join our group if you would like.

Has anyone experienced the hair loss? If you have, were you able to eat right? If you haven't, what were you doing? Just trying to make sure I keep most of mine. I barely have any anyway!

Amy - I'm sorry for your loss

Thanks everyone.

Yes, my hair is falling out. I'm at day 6. I am washing my hair very gently every other day and using Redkin Anti-snap. It is protein for your hair. I gently comb it daily. It keeps the hair loss at a minimum.

Woke up feeling great. Thought I would be able to get things done today. By noon I was gripping my tummy and I had only taken a nap. I hate when I get tricked like that. I mean I felt like me. The old me! I have lost 23 pounds in 2 weeks. 9 pounds since surgery. Really happy about this choice even with the pain.

I had my sleeve on 12/16/14.....it was pretty awful but better now......

@@Amy Carter I'm truly sorry for your loss. It's never easy losing someone so close. My prayers are with you and your family.

Try cream Soups. Me and Protein shakes have not been getting along either. They make me nauseous.

No hair loss at two weeks post opt. I don't know that I get enough protein, but I take an awesome multivitamin that is super packed with biotin and some zinc, my surgeon said it will help with hair loss.

I had hair loss prior to the surgery and of course it continues today. I take Biotin 5000 that I picked up from Walmart. I believe the bottle was around 7.00. I do have hair growing back in.

I'm officially on stage 3 foods!!!! I'm down 12 pounds since surgery. I'm happy and my doctor is very happy. I go back in a month instead of in 2 weeks like most of his patients. I think I'll try scrambled eggs for breakfast.

I hope everyone else is doing great too.
