  1. I told/tell everyone - i gathered up co-workers & I posted to all my friends on FB - I know someone that had it but has not said anything and people approach them all the time with oh my God how did you lose all the weight? - what's your secret? - what diet are you on? I don't want to go the rest of my life having to make something up as a response. I did this for MY life & MY health not for anyone else if they don't understand they can feel free to waste their time pondering - I won't waste one minute on explanations I've got my new life to live.

The picture of me in shorts is what pretty much sealed the decision to move towards pursuing VSG surgery. The 4 pics of me in blue button shirt are from 12-3-14 & 2 pics in black shirt were 12/15/14 morning of surgery
  3. Hi Michelle - There was no meeting this week - I think the next one is 1/6. That's awesome 31lbs. The class is 6wks long in the afternoons? Those are too early for me. I went today also I'm down 29lbs and can move on to next stage of nutrition. Keep up the good work.
  4. it's definitley normal to feel that way - I was all over the place emotionally once I arrived at the hospital and was going through pre-op everything seemed to calm down. Keep to the program prescribed for you & everything will be fine. I am 13 days Sleeved & it's the best decision of my life. Good Luck to you
  5. The powder i get is called ProtiZyme they have a few diff flavors. Do you know which support group you are going to next? are you going to the support group on the 30th or are you going to wait until Jan?
  6. I'm going on the 30th also 3:30 - I'm actually doing pretty well have been able to get my 8 to 10oz of protein down - I was getting a little bored to but ended up putting pumpkin spice & cinnamon in my shake to give it a different flavor then switched back to regular flavor. I've been getting more than the 64oz in of Water also - really excited def worth the few days/1wk of discomfort. Have you heard from any of the other group?
  7. Thanks for sharing everyone - I'm coming up on 2nd wk post-op - I ended up sitting at the table with everyone while they ate their Manicotti, meatballs, garlic bread & salad whilst I sipped on my 4oz of protein shake. I'm glad I went that route so I could enjoy conversation & laughter - just one more celebration to get thru the 2014 holidays -
  8. A major portion of your stomach is removed but...Your nose is still attached hahaha - I found myself a few times walking by the cafe in our office building and thinking "Man! that smells delish" - I was not hungry but could definitely remember how that tasted. - I was just wondering how everyone is/has handled Holiday meals - sit at the table or go off and do something until the meal is over?
  9. Hi Michelle - How are you doing? we are almost at 2wks - did you get your appt made?

  12. Amy - I'm sorry for your loss
  13. I know it, those clots are scary - I even purchased a pair of compression socks in the infomercial section of the CVS - supposed to better the circulation & massage ur leg as ur walking
  14. Get2chris 42oz's is really good - it's pretty interesting the different protocols that everyone has - did they do a leak test on you?
  15. Hi Michelle - I'm doing better each day - I think she said make 9oz because we are putting 2 scoops of protein in the shake & it's easier to get the correct grams ? As long as you think you can get the correct grams by making 3 individual shakes it should be fine - I have been pouring my shake into a 3oz jello cup - I'm also using that same cup for water - how are you doing?
  16. Glad to hear everyone is doing well - does anyone have a hard time getting out of bed? I'm afraid I'm using my stomach too much
