Dec. 15th anyone?

Hey everyone,

I am so excited to get going on this weight loss journey. I feel like I have tried so many other things but with this I feel I can have long term success! I got a bug to get it done and had my first doctor appt. Oct. 17th and it felt like it took forever to get scheduled but it really wasn't very long I guess. I am anxious to get it over with.

Scared of pain, wondering what I will eat. Anyone have any favorite Protein powders? I hear they will be my friend. The only ones I tried in the past were yucky! What about shakes? I like Optifast but they are pricey. Any decent ones out there?

Hoping for some buddies to go through this with me!

Chris.

Chic80 I agree I've still been cooking but think it's making it a bit harder. May need to try letting hubby get his own he keeps asking. I keep thinking it's not a problem. But today I was hungry and I don't want to go wrong.

I know your pain. I have a 17 year old I still have to cook for and it's super hard to stay straight.

This is my last week of food. Start my pre op liquids Mon for surgery on the 29. Only thing I am nervous about is waiting on ins approval (wondering how long it will take to hear back from BCBS) and then also pre op for 2 wks. Sooo ready for surgery and after bc you will HAVE to eat liquids, etc but this before stuff, with all the Christmas parties, ohhhh boyyyy. I GOT THIS! Yall send a prayer up for me that ins goes through and pre op diet won't be for nothing. Lol

I don't think BC takes long to approve. You just have to have met all their requirements first, that's the hardest part. I didn't get my surgery scheduled until approval was done. They must be pretty sure!

Made it through pre op testing today. Woo hoo...no more hoops to jump through!

Surgery is set for tomorrow and I'm so so so nervous!

Day 3 of pre op all liquid diet and it is going decent. I am trying to take this time and adjust and break my habit and relationship with food. The only part is I feel like I am losing a friend which I am definitely not cause when is food ever a friend. Lol its getting closer. Tomorrow I go back to work after being off the past 3 days. I hope it is easy to focus and do my job with minimal energy. How is everyone else's diet change going?

My husband went through my closet and organized my clothes by size. Size 26 all the way done to a size 10. I was so glad that he did that for me. After surgery I can just blow through the big sizes and bag them up to give away as I go!

I got the call!!!!!! APPROVED! Surgery is set in stone for 29th and I am so relieved! Anyone with suggestions for the clear liquid pre op diet, send them my way! Also, does anyone know of a good UN-flavored protein powder?

Good luck blessed

I'm 17th also 5 days had my blood work today so I am ready to go protein powder was shipped so will b be ready

I think the Unjury unflavored is pretty good. Also their chicken soup.

My bypass surgery is on Monday. I'm getting so excited!
